Valentine’s Day Gifts

Chris and I decided to skip Valentine’s Day gifts for each other this year, because we are kicking off our (painfully expensive) bathroom renovation next week. I’m so freaking excited to share the process and the final results with you, and sitting in a new bathtub in a few weeks is all the gift I need. But as an avid online shopper, I thought I’d share some ideas for Valentine’s Day gifts for him, for her, and for kids, in case you’re on the hunt. It’s also the perfect time to treat yourself to a little something special for your home or for your wardrobe too. I’m eyeing this silk sleep dress and can never get enough of these candles. 2021 is the year of self-care, right?

for her

monica rich kossan locket

This is such a thoughtful and special gift because you can personalize the inside of the locket meaningful photos for the recipient. I was so thrilled when Monica Rich Kosann reached out to gift me this beautiful gold necklace with a photo of our family and “to make you proud” printed inside. I also love this two-toned one for it’s lower price point and mixed metals. These lockets layers so nicely with your other necklaces, and you can use the guide on their site to easily print the photos out at home. Highly recommend!

for her

special edition diptyque baies candle

This is forever my favorite splurge-worthy scent. I’ve tried so many candles over the years, and while there are lots of others to love, this is always at the top of my list. I love this graphic collection that they recently released, and the pop of color is just right for Valentine’s Day.

for her

skims silk collection

I know I’ve talked about Skims a lot on my Instagram Stories lately, but they’re a brand that I initially didn’t want to like. I broke down and ordered a piece from their cozy collection last year and have continued to love everything I’ve purchased ever since. They just dropped this chic silk collection for Valentine’s Day, and I’m so obsessed with the robe, the romper and the slip dress. Imagine the slip dress dolled up with heels for date night whenever we can get out on the town again—trés chic!

for her

birkenstock fur sandals

The most unnecessary yet necessary pair of shoes I’ve ever laid my eyes on. The old school sandals are back, but with a cozy fur addition. I feel like you’d get so much use out of these with sweats, jeans and even transitional dresses come spring.

for him

soho home robe

Chris got this robe a couple years ago after a trip to a Soho House property in London—Dean Street Townhouse. He’s absolutely obsessed with it and wears in every morning around the house. It’s so soft, beyond cozy and they now offer personalization if your man is into monograms.

for him

le labo discovery set

This is another Chris-approved purchase. He loves Le Labo scents and has worn them for years. His personal faves are Santal and Thé Noir, but this set is the perfect gift for your man to pick his scent before buying the full size.

for him

richer or poorer sweat set

If you thought matching sweat sets were only for women, guess again. I got Chris a sweatshirt and matching shorts for his birthday last year, and he seriously never takes them off. It’s one of those things men would never think to buy for themselves, but that they’ll absolutely love once they put it on. The best kind of gifts, in my opinion! You can’t go wrong with the ones by this brand I just discovered called Richer or Poorer.

for kids

old navy onesies

A friend recently recommended Old Navy onesies for the twins, and I’m so glad she did. With bathroom incidents and spit-ups galore, we are changing frequently around here, so I love to stock up on onesies at a great price. They have so many cute patterns and seasonal options, and I just couldn’t resist this one for Penelope and this one for Felix for Valentine’s Day.

for kids

valentine craft kit

I have such nostalgia about creating my own Valentine’s Day cards as a kid, and bringing them to school to my friends. Remember this? I’m not sure if kids still do this these days, but I thought this card making kit was too cute not to share. I’m definitely bookmarking for next year when the kids are old enough to enjoy crafts.

for kids

very hungry catepillar magna tiles

Who doesn’t love the Hungry Caterpillar? I love this cute Valentine’s Day-themed set of magna tiles featuring everyone’s favorite caterpillar.
