One of my absolute favorite trends of-the-moment is unconventional shirting. Think: ruffles, cut-outs, draping, voluminous sleeves and interesting hemlines—all in glorious, crisp poplin. While a handful of my favorite designers are leading the charge, such as Rosie Assoulin, Johanna Ortiz and Caroline Constas, I was ecstatic to recently discover Ammara NYC, an emerging brand dedicated to delivering the perfect shirt at a more affordable price point.

I’m absolutely obsessed with the one-shoulder silhouette and larger-than-life bow detailing of this top by the brand. I wore the notice-me piece with equally as dramatic accessories—jewel tone shoes, oversized earrings and an embellished clutch—and then pared the whole look down with my most relaxed denim. It’s officially shirting season.
