In my opinion, the best way to get dressed in a rush is to team the most quintessential basics in your wardrobe together. For instance, this Banana Republic striped sweater with the oldest denim in my closet makes for such an easy combination. Next, I always like to add a touch of unexpected glam to top off my day-to-day looks—statement earrings with jeans and a t-shirt, a party-worthy dress with sneakers or, in this case, over-the-knee boots and a fur coat with an otherwise casual ensemble. Maybe basics aren’t so basic after all.
