How to Rework Old Wardrobe Items

A couple of weekends ago, I did a major spring cleaning and went through every piece of clothing in my apartment (more on that coming soon!). During the process, I came across an old camel coat that was such a classic silhouette, but a bit too basic for my over-the-top taste. I also found an old fur vest in the back of our coat closet that wasn’t getting any playing time anymore, and that’s when the idea hit me. These two should become one.

I sent the tired pieces to my friends at Reissued—an amazing company that takes your old items and breathes new life into them by reworking them. They sent me three design options to chose from (see them here), and then they created this final design. I’m absolutely obsessed with this concept, both for its planet-saving benefits and its power to make my wardrobe infinitely chicer.  The possibilities are endless with this new secret weapon in my closet’s arsenal.
