Felix + Penelope’s First Birthday Party

I still can’t believe the twins are one-year-olds! This past year has been such a whirlwind of change with becoming a mom and moving to a new city all at once. I was so excited to really take a minute to properly celebrate the twins with a first birthday party since we were never able to get our friends and family together for an IRL baby shower. Honestly, this was so much better than a shower, because our little cuties got to be a part of it.

My strategy for this party was a lot different than parties in the past, where I have cooked all the food and done the decorations myself. While I love cooking and arranging flowers, I just knew that I’d be way too stressed out if I took all of that on, in addition to hosting and watching the babies. I had absolutely everything delivered that I could, and let’s just say, it was game-changing. I highly recommend taking this approach for your own children’s birthdays if possible, because it made for such a smooth, stress-free day. Here are some of my favorite photos from the party, plus the details for the vendors we used in Nashville.
