5 Summer Pieces to Wear Now Before It’s Too Late

As I cracked open my computer to write this post, I literally had to remind myself how to type after fully decompressing and recharging for the last two weeks on our honeymoon. If you were following along on my Instagram, you know Chris and I went to South Africa for a safari and then to Mauritius for some beachside relaxation. I’ll be sharing my photo diary from the trip in the next couple of weeks, but until then it’s time to snap back to reality.

I actually don’t mind getting back to work, because this time of year always gives me that back to school feeling—a sense of excitement and of a fresh start. When it comes to fashion, it means it’s almost time to break out all my absolute favorite pieces in my wardrobe—cool jackets, rock n’ roll boots and cozy sweaters. The excitement is so real! But before the temperature actually drops below 80 degrees in New York, here are the five summer pieces I’m going to wear on rotation before it’s too late.

4 – Summer Platforms and Wedges

As seen here, here and here, I live in over-the-top platforms and wedges during the summer months. Sadly, my shoe of choice will be stowed away in a few short weeks, so I’ll be sporting them every day from here on out.

From wooden arks to straw totes, grab on to one of these au naturale bags of summer for one last picnic in the park.
