Wedding Wednesday: 5 Ways to Nail Your Wedding Tablescape

The number one piece of advice I heard over and over after getting engaged was “focus on making the one or two things that matter most to you really special and let the rest slide.” As someone who plans events for work, I have developed a serious love affair with creating beautiful tablescapes with special details. Who doesn’t love dinner parties with beautiful flowers, moody candle lighting and unexpected flatware?

During an Instagram inspiration session, I happened upon L’Atelier Rouge, a floral design studio based in New York’s Flatiron District. As soon as I met the impossibly chic French owner, Caroline Bailly, I knew I had met my creative match. She has had so many out-of-the-box ideas about how our flowers will bring our day to life, plus she’s an expert at sourcing all of the other details that go into creating a stunning tablescape—from linens and flatware to table number holders and menus. I caught up with Caroline to do a test run of our tables for our August 19th nuptials and get her tips for nailing your own wedding table top with ease. Head to Wedding Wire here to read the full story with all of Caroline’s pointers!

Flatware | This was probably the most difficult choice we made for our table top. I just couldn’t decide. Can’t wait to share what we went with in the end!

Glassware | Another difficult decision—to rent specialty glasses or not to rent specialty glasses? That is the question.

Fiancé | No clue what Chris is doing here, but he looks so handsome that I had to share.

Presentation Plate | Marble or gold rimmed? Which do you love? Spoiler alert: We didn’t chose either of these, but I can’t wait to show you what we went with in the end!
