Layering summer knits over daytime and evening looks alike is one of my favorite styling tricks for fickle NYC weather. You can’t go wrong with tossing an easy sweater on over any outfit when the sun goes down—from striped and backless to chic and long. Here, I paired a neutral topper with denim shorts and simple slides, but I plan to wear it over a silk slip dress and ankle wrap heels later on this season.
