Valentine’s Day Look

If I were to go out on Valentine’s Day, this is what I’d wear, but in actuality Chris and I have a tradition of making our favorite dinner at home for the occasion—filet mignon, baked potatoes, a delicious mushroom sauce and a great bottle of red. This has become one of my favorite nights of the year, but our Valentine’s Day tradition got off to a rocky start.

After only 6 weeks of dating, Chris thought I was just “so cool,” so I would think it was weird if he sent me something or set up a nice dinner date or even acknowledged the holiday for that matter. Meanwhile, I became more and more agitated with every flower bouquet and chocolate delivery that rolled in for my co-workers that day. After work I went to his place expecting a singing Valentine or a surprise dinner reservation, but no such luck. I promptly showed him just how “uncool” I was, and we have quite the laugh each year thinking back on our disastrous first go around. Gotta love love.
